Saturday I got home from work and did a little turn around the garden. The crocus were furled due to temps. Then, it started snowing. Monday, I got to see the crocus awake, and there are a few open under the maple, as well as the clothesline bed and beside the lilac and by the older tree peony. I've so far rejuvenated a yew, trimmed back in stages the Siberian iris (there are new leaves!), pulled off dead leaves from the day lilies and stuck warning stakes in near single plants.
