Peony moving
Oct. 13th, 2008 07:13 amI finally did it, and it's a good thing I never will need to move the peonies again. If you every need to do so, make sure you've got a sturdy metal pole/crowbar. Their roots might just be proof to anything milder than cattle horns. And, I found the post base for a fence but couldn't get it up, see lack of a crowbar. I just planted between two of the fins.
I also moved some asters, I know, in bloom, but sometimes you have to be cruel. I watered them well and will be watering them again in a little bit.
After all that, I just puttered about.
Saturday I watched a bird feeding on the seeds of one of the goosefoots (these are a plant that can get to be more than a head taller than myself. Sunday I was watching a butterfly choose an aster to land on.
