More from the yard
Apr. 10th, 2008 09:38 amIt's raining today, but I have spent the past week getting some garden grooming in mornings before work, and Saturday I dug out plants along the garage, evened out the level and plopped some of the plants back down. I also got the asters under the clothesline moved, though I've plants in the garage that need to be planted. I'll put them into planters at the least.
Haven't been able to plant peas yet.
I did get to see a grand crocus display, between the back door, back square, front yard 'bar' and lilac crocuses. The under the maple crocuses started last Sunday. Those are the crocus of last year's first sighting, so we're about two weeks behind. We also had a smattering of snow the other night.
Peony sprouts, tulip and daffodil leaves, bleeding heart are all speaking of continuing spring progression.
